Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast, founded in 1968, provides one-to-one mentoring services to children throughout Sarasota, Manatee, DeSoto, and West Charlotte County. We provide mentoring services to an average of 1275 children each year, with the help of over 950 qualified adult volunteers.

Our Mission: To Help Children reach their potential through professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships with measurable impact.

Vision Statement:  A successful mentoring relationship for every child who needs and wants one, contributing to brighter futures, better schools, and stronger communities for all. 

Our children receive mentoring services through our Community Based program and Bigs In School site-based mentoring programs. On average, 200 children are waiting to be matched with a mentor.
