State Farm® and Major League’s heaviest hitters are going to bat for fans’ favorite charities
State Farm and MLB are launching “Go To Bat,” a new online, charitable-giving program that invites fans to select their favorite organization that supports education, health, human services and public benefit.
From July 12 to Sept. 26, 2010 fans can visit State Farm’s destination page on MLB.com or Facebook and select the charity they would like to go to bat for and support. They will enter a chance to win a donation for a charity in the amount of $100 for each home run hit in MLB that will week.
A selection will count as one vote for the charity. To gain additional votes for the charity, participants can play State Farm’s online Home Run Derby game. Each virtual home run counts as another vote for the charity and participants can share their results on Facebook and challenge friends to also go to bat.
State Farm will also randomly select one winner each week for a trip for two to the 2010 World Series. In addition, State Farm will donate $100 for each MLB home run hit during the week to the charity the person selected.
So what are you waiting for? “Go to Bat” today for your charity. Just visit www.statefarm.com/GoToBat to register and entry rules.
