Our Community-Based Program...
is the “traditional” Big Brothers Big Sisters relationship, where Bigs and Littles get together on their own to share fun activities they both enjoy such as:
Shooting hoops
Taking a walk in the park
Playing a board game
Or just hanging out and
talking
In Our School-Based Programs...
The Big and Little meet for one hour per week at school during the school day. School-based mentoring is not a tutoring program; the main focus of the program is on developing a friendship together. The Big and Little typically:
Read together
Work on school assignments
Play sports or computer games
Or simply discuss life and personal issues
