"Start Something" In Venice-celebrating National Mentoring Month
Mike and Donna Pachota of Sharky's hosted "Start Something" in Venice, a recruitment event for 100 guests. They were treated to delicious hors d'oeuvres, complimentary beverages and a breathtaking sunset on the Gulf. The event was a huge success-signing on over 40 new "Bigs!" For many in attendance, it was the heartfelt and touching stories told by two of our current Bigs and their Littles that made such an impact and memorable impression.

New data from Philadelphia-based Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, developed in partnership with leading researchers, substantiate that the national mentoring program has positive academic, socio-emotional and behavioral outcomes for youth who face adversity.
