Amanda was selected from a group of over 5,000 Bigs who mentor youth across the state. Amanda will represent Florida for the National Big Brother and Big Sister of the Year awards.

Amanda is an Anchor & Reporter with WINK News. She started as a bureau reporter in 2011, and now leads WINK’S political team while anchoring the market’s top-rated nightly newscast.

“Anyone who does anything to help a child in his life is a hero to me.” That's a quote from Fred McFeely Rogers, although you probably know him as Mister Rogers. For me, as a child growing up in the nineties, Mister Rogers is the first mentor I can remember.” Amanda Hall says. “I would sit as close as possible to the television screen for him to look me in the eye and tell me he liked me just the way I was, and I believed him. He was the ultimate listener, who even through a TV screen could somehow hear me with the attentiveness of a best friend. It’s something I try to bring with every interaction I have with my little sister Jazlyn”
